Kindness Challenge Update
A Kindness Challenge Update is definitely in order. As of this date, May 20, 2009, the following number of socks have been collected:
men’s 358
women’s 50
children’s 69
~Do The Wave~
To date, many of these socks have been distributed to homeless people through the Central Christian Food Pantry and the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
I recently saw the movie, “The Sololist,” with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. I didn’t realize that this movie was going to be about our nation’s homeless. What awakened me throughout “The Sololist” was NOT how we can cure or that those who are homeless even want to be cured ~ what I did glean was that kindness and friendship are universal in their power to heal.
