Iowa Falls Iowa treasure hunt
This statue is a memory that people from Iowa Falls hold special in their minds. Who remembers where it was and what they did around it?
Did you run ~ did you splash ~ did you make a wish and did it come true? Whatever the memory we’d all like to see it back in it’s place.
Now you tell me ~ where does it belong?

That is the fountain at the park!!!! But I do have to say that I like how the park is now and it was realy nice for the 4th but that statue was amazing in the parkas well!!!
That’s right, Ben. I’m glad that the park looked nice over the 4th. It is always a busy place. I hope the effort to restore this original statue to the fountain works out.
From the Iowa Falls Times Citizen 8-24-10 ~ Fundraising continues for statue
IOWA FALLS-Iowa Falls resident Shirley Welden is continuing her efforts to raise money to bring back the little boy statue in Estes Park. The statue, now cast in bronze, cost an estimated $10,000. Welden said between $2,500-$3,000 is still needed to complete the goal.
The old statue in Estes Park exploded into pieces earlier this year following a powder-coating attempt. The current statue depicts a nymph blowing on a seashell.
Welden said she is still trying to find some origin history for the original Estes park statue.
