From the Iowa Falls Times Citizen 8-24-10 ~ Fundraising continues for statue
IOWA FALLS-Iowa Falls resident Shirley Welden is continuing her efforts to raise money to bring back the little boy statue in Estes Park. The statue, now cast in bronze, cost an estimated $10,000. Welden said between $2,500-$3,000 is still needed to complete the goal.
The old statue in Estes Park exploded into pieces earlier this year following a powder-coating attempt. The current statue depicts a nymph blowing on a seashell.
Welden said she is still trying to find some origin history for the original Estes park statue.

That's right, Ben. I'm glad that the park looked nice over the 4th. It is always a busy place. I hope the effort to restore this original statue to the fountain works out.
