Kathie, your programs of caring are great. Maybe you can help me help a few very poor kids across the ocean from USA. I’m trying to help kids study hard to stay in school & be the best they can be to someday help brothers, sisters attend college in order to work there way out of poverty. We are seeking reading story books, bibles, dictionaries, nursery rhymes & poems and more…for ages pre-school thru-grade 8. We try to motivate kids with a non-profit educational TV program…”kids’ Corner. Baguio” On this program the kids read the stories, and share a poem ….etc…found on face book. As an American, I’m reaching out to share our blessings with these kids. Do you Think there are any schools, churches, companies or individuals that may desire to share something small, to make something Big happen for another, even so far away? For example: $1.00 will provide 2 pair of walking flip-floops for kids going miles to school daily. The program email is: kidscorner36@yahoo.com ; on face book. Thank You.

Joan, not only a classmate but a lifetime friend, and a special one at that. What a great idea for the children at the library to make a poster. When you have completed the project, will you take a picture of it and send it to me? I’ll post it on the blog and the children will be able to see themselves on the internet with their project. How accomplished they’ll feel. Intentional Acts of Kindness are meant to be shared. I love you, my friend, Joan.

Awesome ideas that will make hearts smile! Hello, from Joan Richey McMullin, your friend, neighbor, and classmate from Iowa Falls. I’m a part-time Children’s Librarian in our town and the sock plan sounds GREAT! I know I’ll share it with everyone who uses the library, have kids help make a poster about it, etc. The ideas are already popping into my thoughts! Thank you! Intentional Act of Kindness…awesome!

Hope that everyone is reading my Blog Updates titled “Kindness Challenge Update.” Jill and her Sunday School class contributed 157 pair of mens, womens, childrens socks! Awesome job!

So far, the Sunday School has contributed 73 pairs of socks for boys; 77 pairs for girls. They are still collecting until mid-November. Let me know when we can touch base for pick up.

Kathie,
I love your blog! And what you’re doing in the spirit of giving is awesome. As part of our Children’s Ministry at Good Samaritan, we collected over 200 new shoes for the Soles to Souls ministry with Green Valley Christian. (They nearly reached their goal of 1600 pairs of shoes). I would love to get our kids involved with collecting socks for your drive. We are doing a project for Mexico Mission for July. We will plan to do the Kindness Challenge in August/Sept.!

Howdy from Texas! I love the following quote, “Catch on fire with love and enthusiasm, and people will come from miles…just to watch you burn”! That’s how I feel about the Kindness Challenge, and I hope I can fuel the fire from Texas through my children’s books. What awesome ideas. I am going to make up some bags tomorrow.
I will also challenge our group to bring one pair of socks to a meeting in the month of March:)
I heard a neat saying in a movie this week about kindness…
Kindness is LOVE with boots on!
